GKN Driveline will showcase its leading contemporary and electrified driveline technologies – making passenger cars lighter, more fuel efficient and better to drive – at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) this month.
GKN will demonstrate its latest technologies across eDrive, all-wheel drive and two-wheel drive vehicles at the show in Germany between 18 and 20 October.
Arval, a leading vehicle leasing and fleet management provider to companies of all sizes, has become a leading partner in one of the UK’s largest hydrogen fleet car trials to date.
It is taking part in the Hydrogen Hub initiative, which will see fuel cell technology used in a wide range of domestic, commercial and transport applications in Swindon, where Arval’s UK head office is based.
Although experts predict that drivers won’t become a thing of the past until 2030, Venson Automotive believes that fears over cyber security need to be tackled as a priority to boost the confidence of fleet managers and motorists in an autonomous future.
“For driverless cars to become a familiar sight on a business’s fleet, huge changes are required to the legislative and regulatory landscape,” explains Gil Kelly, Operations Director of Venson Automotive Solutions, who added, “Experts have highlighted that there is a very real threat associated with the deliberate misuse of a car’s data systems.”
